Statement of Faith

THE BIBLE

The Bible is divine revelation, inspired by God, authoritative, innerrant and infallible, as well as necessary and sufficient for life and godliness.

Triune God

There is one God who eternally exists in perfect unity as three equal and fully divine Persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each member of the Godhead, while executing distinct but complementary roles in redemptive history, has precisely the same nature, attributes, and being, and is equally worthy of the same glory, honour and obedience.

JESUS CHRIST

Jesus Christ is is the manifestation of God in the flesh. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He is both God and man who lived a sinless life on earth. To accomplish God’s plan of redemption for sinful man, He suffered death on the cross, was buried, and rose again from the dead. This demonstrated Christ’s victory over sin and death and made a way for man to be reconciled with God.

THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Holy Spirit guides, instructs, fills, comforts, convicts and empowers the believer for godly living. He indwells the heart of every believer, enabling the believer’s sanctification, and sealing them for eternity.

THE CHURCH

There is one universal church, composed of all those throughout the world who acknowledge Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. The normal practice of the church since New Testament times has been to gather as the local church as an expression of the universal church. As members of one body, Christi followers are called to serve one another by exercising their spiritual gifts within the context of the local church and beyond.

salvation

Man is hopelessly lost. Jesus died for the sins of this world as a substitutionary sacrifice. He bore the wrath of a most holy God in taking the place of sinful man. Each person who by faith receives Him as personal Savior and Lord is justified on the basis of Jesus Christ’s shed blood, born again of the Holy Spirit and becomes eternally secure as a child of God.
