My Story

our stories encourage, comfort and inspire one another.

So thanks for reading my story today.

I’m an avid book reader, amateur decorator, morning coffee drinker, lifelong learner and chronic dreamer. I grew up in a Christian home, attended a Christian college, and served in Christian ministry for many years.

Then one day, I found myself divorced and raising two young daughters on my own. Everything I had held so tightly was suddenly gone. My life was in shattered pieces and there were moments when I didn’t know if I was going to make it through.

BUT GOD. We read those two words throughout scripture and they are just as true in my life as they were when God’s Word was penned. God had not forgotten me. Instead, He met me in my pain. Through a difficult, uncertain, lonely season, I came to know God in a way I had never known Him before. And despite the struggle, that is something for which I am truly grateful.

Today, I am blessed to be a wife, mother, step-mom, and grandma and serve as Women’s Ministry Director at Redemption Bible Chapel in  London, Ontario. I graduated from Heritage Seminary with a Master of Theology degree in 2020 and a Graduate Certificate in Biblical Care and Counselling in 2021. I am thankful for my seminary education which fostered my knowledge of God’s Word, ignited a passion to teach His Word to others, and taught me to shepherd the women I serve.

It gives me such joy to disciple other women through writing, teaching and speaking as I share the hope that is found in God alone, no matter the disappointment and pain that life can sometimes bring. I’ve been there and God has proven to be more than enough.

2 Corinthians 12:9 is a verse that hangs on my office wall and lives in my heart. But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

My life has changed dramatically over the years but my God has remained the same. I live each moment, knowing that I am held by His powerful yet gracious hand.

So thanks for dropping by. I hope you will stay awhile and be encouraged by the stories I continue to share as long as God gives me life and breath.

Living life by His grace,
